Who is responsible
Trade Legend is a trading name of Quantum Max Ltd, the operator of this directory and controller of the personal information described in this notice. Quantum Max Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 11682100. Its registered office is Unit 1.01 East London Business Centre, 93–101 Greenfield Road, London, England, E1 1EJ. Information used by the directory
Listings contain business names, trades, areas, business contact details, public review ratings and source links. These come from business submissions and public business or review sources, including Google Places. Some business details may identify an individual, particularly a sole trader. Official registration evidence is recorded separately when checked. Public availability does not remove your data-protection rights.
If you email us or submit a website form, we receive the information you send and use it to respond, consider a listing request or investigate a correction or complaint. Forms send the supplied details through our hosting mail service to our info mailbox. A business submission is a request for review, not automatic publication or accreditation. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.
Purpose and lawful basis
Our directory and enquiry handling serve our legitimate interests in helping people find businesses, maintaining accurate listings and responding to requests. These interests must be balanced against individuals' rights. Where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, fulfil a contract or meet a legal obligation, that basis may apply instead. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Browsing and external services
The hosting service receives technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP addresses and requested pages. Optional analytics and advertising tracking are disabled in this version. Your browser may retain your colour-theme preference; see our cookie and browser-storage notice.
When you choose to load the form's Google reCAPTCHA check, Google receives device and interaction information to help detect automated abuse. Our server sends the verification token to Google, not the contents of your enquiry. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms apply. You can email us instead. For rate limiting, the form handler temporarily keeps a keyed hash of your IP address, a token hash and request time outside the public website; it removes entries older than one hour when processing the next submission.
Location detection is optional. Choosing approximate location sends your IP address to ipapi.co and, if that lookup fails, potentially ip-api.com to estimate your city. You can enter a town or postcode instead. Some listing images load from external image providers. Opening an external business, review or register link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. External providers may process information outside the UK.
For postcode searches, your browser requests area information from Postcodes.io using only the postcode district (for example, E1), not your full postcode or street address. That service also receives connection information such as your IP address. Wider-area matches are based on listed addresses, not confirmed service coverage or measured distances.
Access and retention
Our hosting and email providers process information needed to operate those services. Retention should be limited to what is needed for the relevant directory entry, enquiry, correction, complaint or legal obligation, rather than kept indefinitely. Relevant factors include whether a request is resolved, the information is still accurate and any applicable record-keeping or dispute requirements. You can ask us about retention and recipients for your information.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information, and object to its use. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it. These rights are subject to applicable exceptions. Contact us using the email above and identify the listing or information concerned without sending unnecessary identity documents.
You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. This notice does not restrict your statutory rights.
